CORSI ENDS UP IN THE TOP TEN AT VALENCIA

The 2016 Moto2 season has finished today at Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, Valencia. The challenge in today’s race was very hard after the complicated qualifying session in which Simone Corsi placed twenty-second on the grid. He did not succeed to keep riding as in the free practice session one. Although he was starting the race from the eighth row, the Speed Up rider managed to climb up seven positions in the first lap. He fought with Vierge in the first part of the race to keep grabbing positions and he finally closed the race eleventh. He thus confirms his tenth place in the overall standings of the Moto2 World Championship 2016.

SIMONE CORSI #24 – 11th

“The race was not so bad, the big problem was in the qualifying as we started so far back. I managed to make a good start and grab positions even if the feeling with the bike was not perfect. I’m really grateful for all the support from the team and for the work we did together in this year and I am sure next season will be better!”

In the second day at circuit Ricardo Tormo in Cheste, Valencia, Simone Corsi tragically slid in last positions. He will occupy the first place of the eighth row of the grid in tomorrow’s race. During the third free practice session, team and rider had already found some problems that they were not able to solve before the qualifying session. Now there is the warm up for finding the right solution to get some points in the race.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 22nd

“It was a very complicated qualifying session. After the second best lap time in tomorrow’s free practice session we were not able to improve our lap time as well as repeat the one got yesterday morning. Until tomorrow we have time to make some changes and test them during the warm up”.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 4°

“I am happy with today’s free practice sessions. The feeling was good in both sessions and we were quite fast. In the morning we got the second best lap time, while in the second session we tried new solutions to improve the problems with the front, but we could not optimise the bike. We will do it in tomorrow’s last session before the qualifying. I am very determined to finish the season in the best way possible”.
