Jorge Navarro Sánchez was born on 3 February 1996 in La Pobla de Vallbona, Spain.
After years of apprenticeship between mini bikes and minor championships, in 2012 he debuted in the Spanish championship and he closes twelfth in the saddle of Honda.
In 2013 he moved to the MIR Racing team and he finished sixth in the Spanish Speed Championship, winning two second places in Aragón and in the 2nd race of Albacete.
In 2014 he took part again in the Spanish Championship (CEV); he finished second in the general classification, winning numerous podiums and winning the race in Albacete. In the second part of the season, he has the opportunity to show off during the World Championship with the Marc VDS Racing team, replacing Livio Loi in Moto3.
In 2015 he runs in the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team, driving a Honda NSF250R with team-mate Fabio Quartararo. Gets a third place in Malaysia, two second places in Aragon and in Valencia, a third place in Japan and a pole position in Great Britain, winning the title of “Rookie of the Year”. Closes at the seventh place in the final standings with 157 points.
In 2016 he reconfirms the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team, teamed up with team-mate Arón Canet. He obtains his first victories in Catalonia and Aragon, two second places in Argentina and in the Americas and a third place in Le Mans. Due to a fracture of the tibia and fibula he was forced to miss the Dutch Grand Prix, being replaced by the Italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta. Ended the season in third place with 150 points.
In 2017 he moved to Moto2 class, riding a Kalex of the Gresini Racing team and finishes the season at the 14th place with 60 points.
In 2018 he remains with the Gresini Racing team, obtaining the fifth best result in Austria and finishing the season at 13th place with 58 points.
Jorge Navarro joins the Speed Up Racing team with a two-year contract for the 2019 and 2020 seasons on the new Triumph Speed Up SF19T
