Fabio Di Giannantonio was born in Rome on October 10th 1998. He grew up with a big passion for motorcycles and at the age of 11 he became Junior Mini-moto European Champion.
In 2010 he won the Honda HIRP 100 Trophy and in 2012 he won also the Italian 250 PreGP title. Fabio started to get serious and in 2015 he finished the Italian championship of speed, Moto3 category, in second position with two victories. In the same year he took part in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, winning three races and placing second in the final ranking.
He made his debut in the Moto3 class of the 2015 World Championship riding the GP of the Valencian Community as a replacement rider on a Honda NSF250R of the Gresini Racing team.
In 2016 he was confirmed in the same team with his teammate Enea Bastianini. At the Grand Prix of Italy he won his first podium, and so in Assen ending the season in 6th place with 134 points.
In 2017 he is reconfirmed in the team Del Conca Gresini, the teammate is Jorge Martín. During the pre-season tests in Valencia he suffered a fracture of the clavicle, which however did not preclude him from taking part in the first seasonal race in Qatar where he arrived eighth, scoring the fastest lap. In the GP of the Americas he took third as well as in France. Another podium in the Grand Prix of Italy where he arrived second and third in the San Marino Gp. Fabio closed the 2017 season in fifth place with 153 points.
In 2018 he took part in the Moto3 world championship alongside Jorge Martin in Team Gresini. After a season fighting for the title close to Martin and Bezzecchi, thanks to his perseverance and competitiveness, he won the title of vice-world champion in the last race in Valencia.
After three seasons in Moto3, Di Giannantonio will wear the colors of the Speed Up Racing team with which he will face the 2019 Moto2 World Championship riding the new Triumph Speed Up SF19T.
