TEN POINTS FOR CORSI AT THE RED BULL GRAND PRIX OF THE AMERICAS
The third race of the season of the Moto2 class at the Texan circuit finished with Simone Corsi that crossed the finish line in sixth position. Rider’s 10point score increases his points total to 26 and he is now seventh in the provisional Moto2 World Championship standings. It was a strong race in which Simone had to fight from the first bend to keep the race pace. Making his Speed Up SF16 bike as wide as he could, he gained six positions and finished the race as sixth after overtaking Thomas Luthi on the last few meters. It was a positive weekend for Speed Up Team, which in the next few days will keep working hard before the first European race of 2016 at Jerez de la Frontera circuit.

“Unfortunately, the race was influenced from the beginning after the touch with Nakagami. I tried to overtake and reach the first group, Rins and Lowes were already far, leading the race. I expected a better race, even if the final score is not so bad. Now, we need to keep working and do our best at Jerez!”
SIMONE CORSI WILL START THE GP OF THE AMERICAS FROM THE THIRD ROW IN EIGHTH POSITION
The Moto2 qualifying practice at Austin circuit has just ended and Simone Corsi with Team Speed Up got the eighth position. The Roman rider will start tomorrow’s race from the third row. A grid position that does not reflect the three outstanding free practice sessions of this weekend, where Simone did the second best lap time at every session. During the qualifying session Corsi improved once again his lap time thanks to the good feeling on his Speed Up SF16 bike. Tomorrow’s warm up will be useful for the team to make final adjustment and to give the rider any support for the race.

“I expected to be very competitive and do an excellent qualifying session after the second best lap time in every free practice session. Unfortunately, in my fastest lap I was not very lucky because in that moment the track was very busy and I couldn’t maintain the fast pace of the moment. Now, the thing that is most important is a fast start grabbing as many positions as possible. I am pretty confident for the tomorrow’s race, I can’t wait!”
SIMONE CORSI MADE A GOOD START KICKING OFF THE GRAND PRIX OF AMERICAS WITH THE SECOND TIME
The first day of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas has ended with a very good second position. After leaving behind the Argentinian circuit, Simone Corsi is back on track confirming the second position in both first and second sessions of free practice. In FP2 the Roman rider has improved by about a second the time of FP1 keeping the second position in 2’09.744, very close to Alex Rins. The feeling with the Speed Up SF16 bike is getting better thanks to team’s work. Now, it is very important to keep a good pace during the official qualifying session and close the second day of the Texan GP reaching the first row.
