FANTASTIC DAY FOR CORSI WHO ENDED UP SIXTH THE GP OF JAPAN
The fifteenth round of the Moto2 World Championship, held today at Motegi Circuit, has just ended. Despite the starting was definitely influenced by the sixteenth position on the grid, Speed Up rider managed to grab positions since the beginning of the race. After a few laps he was up into the top ten and at the end of the race he succeeded in finishing sixth leaving Pasini behind a few meters before the finish line.

“I am happy with today’s result because it was a tough race with many crashes. We knew we started with a disadvantage, both for the lap time and for the grid position. It went well and now we have to keep working and improving to be ready for the last races of the season”.
FIFTH ROW FOR CORSI AT MOTUL GRAND PRIX OF JAPAN
Speed Up rider Simone Corsi concludes the second day of the Grand Prix of Japan grabbing a thirteenth lap time in the last minutes of the qualifying session. Speed Up staff managed to find the right set up reducing feeling problems with the front that came upon the last free practice session in the morning. Tomorrow’s warm up will be very important for team and rider to improve and stabilise the SF16 bike for being competitive in race.
“We finally improved one second the lap time from yesterday. Furthermore, even if the grid position is not as good as it should, the lap times are very close and we still can fight in tomorrow’s race. We need to make a good warm up trying to find nice solution with the bike and of course will be a tough race but I need to do a good job and try to go forward and make something in the race, we look forward to it and should do a good job”.
GOOD START FOR CORSI IN THE FIRST FREE PRACTICE DAY OF THE GRAND PRIX OF JAPAN
The Moto2 World Championship has started the first leg of the overseas trip at Motegi Circuit. The first day of free practice just ended and Speed Up rider’s Simone Corsi worked very hard with the team for the set-up of the SF16 Speed Up bike obtaining good results. The team decided that race pace was more important than lap time, so they do not change tires in the second free practice keep testing the bike with the old ones.
