MALAYSIAN GP MOTO2 QUALIFYING: FOURTH ROW FOR SIMONE CORSI

“The qualifying session was very hard, it is complicated to ride on this track that takes too much to get dry. With the team we managed to adjust the bike setting that allowed us to grab tenth. We have to keep improving as we are doing and this is what we suppose to do during tomorrow’s warm-up to get ready for the race”.
SEPANG MOTO2: THE RAIN CONDITIONED THE FIRST DAY OF FREE PRACTICES
The penultimate round of the Championship has started today at the Malaysian circuit of Sepang, which has been recently updated with new tarmac and slight modifications to increase the grip. An aggressive but short storm during the first free practice session made the track slippery and more difficult to ride. Also in the afternoon session when rain stopped and the track became partly dry it was hard for riders to find the feeling. Team Speed Up rider Simone Corsi after a crash in the first round was no longer able to find the right feeling to ride pushing to the limit with stability. The weather conditions may obstruct the race weekend, it is important for Speed Up to work hard before the race.

“Unfortunately the weather conditioned the first practice day. This morning I crashed when the rain started falling and then I couldn’t manage to improve the lap time because of the wet track. In the afternoon session I had no feeling with the bike due to the partly wet and partly dry circuit. For sure we will keep working to improve the bike feeling in tomorrow’s free practice session”.
