MB CONVEYORS-SPEED UP RACING TEAM: RACE
QUARTARARO DOES NOT GIVE UP AND FINISHES NINTH THE GRAND PRIX OF GERMANY. KENT CRASHES AT LAP EIGHTH
The Grand Prix of Deutschland ends with a half-smile for the MB Conveyors-Speed Up Racing team that archives the ninth race of the season with the extraordinary comeback of Fabio Quartararo and the unfortunate crash of Danny Kent.
A bad crash in the warm up this morning made the race of the number 20 even more difficult. With a microfracture on the wrist and bruises throughout the body, the young French managed to get back a good 9 positions fighting tightly to the last lap.
The positive weekend of Danny Kent unfortunately ended with a crash on the eighth lap. After an excellent start with 2 positions recovered, on the second lap of the race the British rider was eighth with a half-second gap from Alex Marquez. He kept his position until the last corner of the eighth lap when he suddenly lost control of the bike and ended up on the ground.
The next round of the World Championship will be at the Brno circuit, in the Czech Republic, from 3th to 5th August.
FABIO QUARTARARO#20 – 9th
“It was a very hard race because after the crash of the warm up I was struggling to breathe for the nose wound and the microfracture on my wrist. However, we managed to finish the race within the first ten after having struggled in a group of 5 riders for many laps. I am happy about how we have recovered from a difficult situation thanks to the work we have done. I thank my team very much, see you in Brno”
DANNY KENT#52 – DNF
“Of course I’m not happy to finish without any points, but we have to take the positives from this weekend because I feel like we have made some good steps, consistently in the top 12 and in the race I was running in 8th until my crash. From the last races this is a good step forward, now we have 3 weeks break and I will go home and work very hard to come to Brno and make another step, thanks to the team ”.

MB CONVEYORS-SPEED UP RACING TEAM: FOURTH AND SIXTH ROW FOR KENT AND QUARTARARO AT THE SACHSENRING CIRCUIT
MB Conveyors Speed Up Racing team’s riders completed the qualifying session of the Pramac Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland in twelfth (Danny Kent) and eighteenth (Quartararo) positions, respectively the fourth and sixth row of the starting grid.
After the ninth place reached in FP3 at just 0.405 from the first, the English rider confirms in the QP the good work done during the practice sessions, getting his fastest lap in 1’24.312.
On the other side of the box, Fabio Quartararo took advantage of the third free practice by training the race pace finding a good rhythm with used tyres. He ended the qualifying in a position that is not what he and the team expected to take, but they are both aware of being able to fight and compete from the first lap of the race.
DANNY KENT#52 – 12th in 1’24.312
“I’m happy with my qualifying today, of course I would like to be on the front row but we have to be realistic right now and look at the last GP’s and improve from there, which this weekend we have done a good job, I have been doing more consistent laps to prepare better for the race, I have a food feeling with the bike and the team are doing a good job, my pace is not so bad and I feel we can have a good result”.
FABIO QUARTARARO#20 – 18th in 1’25.063
“The crash l had at the beginning of the session compromised my session a bit. Obviously, I’m not satisfied with the qualifying; the feeling I had in QP was worse than this morning, but the tyre solution we will use tomorrow will be different and so we know we can do much better. The main goal is to recover as many positions as possible and get closer to the former!”

FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE AT THE PRAMAC MOTORRAD GRAND PRIX OF DEUTSCHLAND: 14TH KENT AND 17TH QUARTARARO
At the end of the first day of practice of the Grand Prix of Deutschland, the MB Conveyors-Speed Up Racing team’s riders completed an intense day of work in fourteenth (Danny Kent #52) and seventeenth (Fabio Quartararo #20) position.
In the first free practice session, the Speed Up SF18 bikes immediately demonstrated their potential and even in this circuit they can be competitive. Few tenths divided Quartararo and Kent from the top of the standings, respectively eleventh and thirteenth at the end of the FP1.
In the afternoon, after some changes to the rear to solve spinning problems, both riders managed to improve their lap time between the two sessions, lowering the time on the last lap of FP2. Danny Kent finished the day in 1’25.093 with a gap of only 0.343 tenths from the first and Fabio Quartararo behind him in 1’25.157.
DANNY KENT#52 – 14st in 1’25.093
“Today has been a good day, I have been trying to be more consistent with my lap times, to help prepare better for the race. I have a good feeling with the bike, there is a few areas I need to improve for tomorrow, I am not happy with the position but the lap times are so close and only being 0.3 from the top is not too bad”.
FABIO QUARTARARO#20 – 17th in 1’25.157
“It was not an easy day today. We have problems to solve with the bike because I cannot close the uphill turns well. We are working to get more grip and therefore be able to finalize the turnes better. Anyway, we are confident in the work we are doing and determined to improve!”
