CORSI NINTH AT GRAN PREMIO MOVISTAR DE ARAGÓN
At Motorland Aragón circuit the Moto2 World Championship race has just finished. Simone Corsi starts in eleventh position from the fourth row. After a good start, he immediately grabs some positions keeping up the pace. Unfortunately, the lack of grip does not let him to push and get room although the race-pace was enough fast and constant. Simone closes the race ninth getting seven points.

“I am satisfied of today’s race, even if the position is not what I wanted. We fought with Rins and Zarco during all the race, without making mistakes. We could have grab more positions if we would not have had grip problems on the rear. We are getting up again after a difficult August and that is what we wanted!”.
SIMONE ENDS ARAGÓN QUALIFYING ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE TOP 10
Simone Corsi will start tomorrow’s race from the fourth row on a grid position that does not reflect the improvements he made in the free practice sessions of this weekend. In the time attack he did not find the conditions to improve his lap time ending up 11th place in 1,54.075. Tomorrow’s warm-up will be useful for the team to make final adjustment and give the rider any support for the race.

“I expected to be more competitive after positive free practice sessions, but what I can expect now is to find more grip from the tyres and so a faster race-pace reaching the first positions since the beginning!”
GOOD START AT ARAGÓN GRAND PRIX FOR SIMONE CORSI
Team SPEED UP’s Simone Corsi put his SF16 on track today taking good lap times on both free practice sessions at the first day of the Motorland Aragón Grand Prix. The Roman rider set his best time of 1’54.126 on the afternoon session to place seventh overall in combined free practices. His struggle in finding a perfect feeling with the bike still continues, but his improvements are consistent and the team is working hard to best support him.
“Obviously it has been a positive beginning of the weekend. We are riding with a good pace, but we still have work to do, mostly to improve grip; we will test different options for the setting and some more little details we want to check in tomorrow’s last free practice session”.
