ELF CIV PRE MOTO3 ROUND2: GOOD PERFORMANCE FOR VEJIER AT MUGELLO
The second round of the ElfCIV pre moto3 250 4T Championship took place last weekend at the Mugello circuit.
The race weekend was characterized by uncertain weather that made the track conditions not perfect for the whole session on Friday and Saturday. Despite the fact that the team could not get great data from the Friday practice, Collin Vejier, at his first approach with the Mugello circuit, managed to reach the tenth position in 2’08.119 during the second qualifying session.
In both races, the Dutch rider perfectly started from the tenth position on the grid, leading the race. In race1 after a few laps he was hit by a stone that slowed him down. He finished the performance in 9th position.
The young rider improved in race 2, fighting assiduously for the first positions throughout the race and finishing the Mugello competition in seventh place at 0.642 tenths from the first.
Collin Vejier#95: “The start of the weekend was not easy. The intermittent rain conditioned the practice day and I needed all the time to learn the track as it was the first time in Mugello for me. Nevertheless, thanks to the great job made by me and the team, we could make 2 stable races and fight with the front group. Every time I ride the Speed up bike the feeling is better. Big thanks to all the sponsors and my team crew”.
