ELF CIV PRE MOTO3 ROUND3: POLE POSITION AND FANTASTIC VICTORY IN RACE1 FOR COLLIN VEIJER AT THE AUTODROMO ENZO E DINO FERRARI, IMOLA
Collin Veijer and the JCR Team Speed Up turned into an almost perfect race weekend in the third round of the ELF CIV pre-moto3 250 4T at Imola.
After the pole position achieved on Saturday morning qualifying in 2’06.313, Collin took home his first victory in Race1. He made a good start and then he fought for almost the entire race with his rival Morosi, having the best on the finish line.
The following day, determined to get on the podium also in race2, the JCR Team Speed Up rider was forced to retire after only 2 laps from the start due to a gearshift anomaly of his Speed Up, thus leaving free way to his main rival.
The next round of the ELF CIV pre-moto3 250 4T championship will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from the 27th to the 29th of July.
Collin Vejier#95: “I am happy cause we made steps forward on the Speed Up bike and this resulted in a pole position and my first victory. In race2 I had a good feeling too to fight for the victory, but unfortunately I had to retire from the race because of a technical problem with the bike. I hope to make a good result also in Misano race. A big thank to my team and all sponsors”.
